Conference Venue
Palazzo Ateneo (University of Bari Aldo Moro)
Centro Polifunzionale Studenti (Ex Poste)
Multicinema Galleria
The venue will be located in several historical spots of the city center.
Palazzo Ateneo: Palazzo Ateneo is the historic main building of the University of Bari Aldo Moro and one of the city’s best-known academic landmarks. Facing Piazza Umberto I, it reflects early twentieth-century institutional architecture and hosts some of the University’s most representative spaces for teaching and ceremonial events. Historical accounts focus on the long planning and construction process that led to the creation of this major educational building, while documented in the public sources we rely on. Today, as the symbolic home of the University in the city centre, it offers a prestigious setting for conference activities and provides easy access to Bari’s main services, transport links, and cultural attractions.
Centro Polifunzionale Studenti (Ex Poste): The Centro Polifunzionale Studenti is housed in a landmark building that originally served as Bari’s main Post and Telecommunications headquarters (in Italian, Palazzo delle Poste e Telecomunicazioni), handling postal services and communications for the city. Today, it has been repurposed by the University as a multifunctional student and academic centre, designed to host educational, cultural, and community activities. The venue combines a strong historical identity with flexible, contemporary spaces, making it particularly well suited for parallel sessions, meetings, and informal exchange during the conference.
Multicinema Galleria: Multicinema Galleria is one of Bari’s best-known cinema venues. After a major renovation, it reopened to the public in late 2005 as a modern multiscreen cinema, transforming a single large auditorium into multiple theatres designed for high-quality screenings and events. Its professional setting and established role in the city’s cultural life make it an ideal venue for plenary sessions and keynote talks.
